The Unique Blogger Award

unique-blogger-awardI think I may have finally caught up with my blog nominations. I feel bad for taking so long, but it truly couldn’t be helped and I apologise.

I was very touched to be nominated for the unique blogger award. I always try hard to be original and come up with post ideas, that I’ve never seen done before. I thought it was really sweet and kind, that two fellow bloggers would nominate me for this award. So, for that I’d like to thank them individually and of course answer their brilliant questions.

The Rules:

1: Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nomination you.

2: Answer the Questions.

3: In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.

4: Ask them three questions.

Rodrovich, thanks so much for thinking of me and giving me nomination. I really appreciate it. Your blog is awesome and I would highly recommend everyone go check it out.

Right, time to answer Rodrovich questions.

1- Which place would you most like to visit and why?

I’d love to visit North Canada, because I really want to see the northern lights. They look so magical in photos and it would be amazing to see in person.
Canada also seems really beautiful, so I’d love to explore it, for myself.

thumbnail_38536b92-2b96-405b-babb-1042774c68e62- How would you explain anime to one who has never seen any before?

With great pain (only joking, I’ll be serious).
I think the only way to explain anime, would be to sit the person down and show them some anime. Anime is too complex, to be explained in mere words.
But if I had to explain it in words, I’d probably start of by saying, anime is a very beautiful and unique style of animation, that can be a lot of fun. It can also be a very emotional experience. Having you laughing one minute and crying your little heart out, the next. (I wouldn’t mention Japan, to prevent bias).
I would then use one of my rubbish examples, to explain the feeling of watching good quality anime. That example being, “Watching a good anime is like, being given a box of super cute puppies. You’ll be super excited and just want to play with the puppies all day and never leave them.”

3- What are some of your favorite (or influential) albums?

Oh Glob, all my music is stored on electronic devices, so I don’t have a clue what you call my favourite albums. I just tap a picture and scroll down the playlist, until I see something I like.
I know, that’s so bad and doesn’t answer the question. So, instead I’ll give you a short list of my favourite artists and hopefully, it’ll give a feel of the music I’m into:
Sia, Hozier, Pink, Guns N’ Roses, Meat Loaf, Queen (those last three are really old, but have aged very well), My Chemical Romance, Twenty One Pilots, Adele and a little bit of Johnny Cash.

Irina thanks so much for the nomination. Your blog is so much fun and I love your drinking games. I would also highly recommend everyone go check Irina’s blog out.

Right, question time.

1-I had a lot of fun with the FMK question (you can tell from all the whining). I use to adore this feature over on D talks anime. Which is your favorite blog feature/tag? Alternatively, tell us about one you’d like to start!

My favourite was the Five Flaming Hotties Tag. It was so much fun and I had a whale of a time, reading all of those.
But, what I liked most about that tag, was how everyone really got into it and nearly everyone participated. It was amazing and everyone work so hard on those post. Which just goes to show, how much fun that tag really was.

thumbnail_4e3f056a-d974-4e5a-8c41-22257dd7b9882- What do you want for Christmas? I’m just asking for a friend.

My weight in chocolate would be nice.
I’m a little fatty at Christmas and pretty much, spend the whole Christmas period thinking about food. Receiving my weight in chocolate would be a dream come true. I don’t really have a preference for the type of chocolate. Just as long as it isn’t Thornton’s (hate that chocolates. It just doesn’t taste right).
Don’t worry, if I do somehow receive my weight in chocolate, I’d share my chocolatey wealth.

3- What unusual IP would you like to see get adapted into anime?

The last question has really got me in the Christmas mood and now I really want to A Christmas Carol, adapted into an anime movie (if this already exist, please let me know. That would be so awesome).
This may be the Christmas spirit talking, but A Ghibli Christmas Carol just sounds spectacular. It would be so interesting, to see an anime version of Scrooge. I’d imagine they’d portray him, as a Howl (from Howl’s moving castle) type character and really exaggerate his meanness. The three spirits, would probably also get one hell of a makeover and look like the regular spirits on acid.
An Anime Christmas Carol would be amazing and because it’s anime, it could be made so much more magical and creative. I’d just love to see what an anime studio, would with this Christmas classic. They’d definitely give the muppets a run for their money anyway.

Nominations:

This is the scary part for me, choosing bloggers to nominate and hoping I don’t annoy anyone. Anywho, the Unique Blogger I’d like to nominate are:

The Otaku Judge

Pop Culture Literary

The Pantless Anime Blogger (TPAB)

Raistlin0903

Foodzesty

The Spooky Red Head

Mr. Bobinsky

924COLLECTIVE

My 3 Questions:

  1. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
  2. What is your all-time favourite movie?
  3. What is the weirdest thing you’ve put on a pizza? (I’m kind of hungry for pizza, at the minute)

They’re a bit random, but I hope they’re as fun as the questions I answered.

Please, don’t feel any pressure to do this award. I completely understand, if you prefer not to do these sorts of things.

If you’d like to answer any of these questions in the comments, go for it and fill your boots. I’d love to hear your answers.

  1. Thanks for the shoutout, and answering the questions!
Wow, that’s a pretty well rounded explanation. I agree, showing anime to someone might be the best way to ‘explain’ anime to them. This is the first time I am seeing an analogy between puppies and anime: interesting and funny. Hope you get the chance to travel to Canada soon!

  2. Congrats on another award! I’m still working on the award you tagged me for, but I do plan to do a post for it 🙂

Also, I’m live in Canada and it is pretty awesome, haha.

  3. 1. Mind control. That would solve most of my life problems, as I am not very good at dealing with people.

    2. Terminator 2. Great action and the special effects still hold up. Shame that the sequels suck.

    3. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food so all my pizza toppings are fairly normal. I like pineapple though, which apparently is a contentious choice.

    • Omg, I would choose mind control too. I uses to think invisibility would be awesome, because I could get into things for free, get up to a lot of mischief and never have to be self-conscious. But with mind control, I could still do those things and solve a lot of my problems. 😀

Terminator is an awesome movie. Great choice 🙂

Pineapple on pizza is yummy 🙂 Sometimes I swap the pineapple, for canned Mandarin/Tangerine oranges. It’s really yummy too and similar in taste to cooked pineapple 🙂

Brilliant answers and thanks for taking the time to anwser 😀

    • You’re welcome 🙂 and thank you for taking the time to answer 😀

Wow, Cypher would be an awesome power and so friendly. You could hold a conversation with anyone and everyone. It would truly be a great power 😀

I’ve never watched CLUELESS, but it seems like real Saturday night, with a tub of ice cream movie. I think it might be on netflix, so I must check it out sometime. 🙂

I agree, pineapple is awesome on pizza. Potato also sounds nice.
They do chicken in mayo-taco sauce and chips (fries) on pizza, over here (It’s delicious). I’d imagine, potato would taste similar 😀

      Great answers 😀
Hope you have a happy and peaceful time over the Holidays and all the best in the New Year 😀
