Spreading the Cuteness

You might already have seen these cute pup pics on my Instagram, but for those who haven’t, prepare yourselves because I’m about to inject some adorableness into your day and spread cuteness across the blogosphere.

Okay you all ready? Great! Time to meet Oscar the cutest Miniature Jack Russell I’ve ever seen.thumbnail_20190916_113800

2 weeks ago, my brother got his children a puppy and I finally got some free time to go visit and meet the little guy.

thumbnail_IMG_20190920_191705_830When I said little, I really mean little. He’s just absolutely tiny, possibly the smallest pup I’ve ever seen. To give you an idea of how small, he’s smaller than my shoe, which is also kind of scary to think about because if you accidentally step on the poor pup, things wouldn’t be very good (sorry for the horrible visual. My brain has a terrible habit of thinking of the worst-case scenario).

thumbnail_IMG_20190920_191705_828Anyway, back to cuteness. As well as being adorable, Oscar is incredibly chilled. So much so that he took one hell of a dog-nap on me (I really love chilled dogs though, that sit beside you and relax with you so I didn’t mind).

thumbnail_IMG_20190920_191705_832Oscar just got up beside me and snugged in and fall asleep for over an hour like this. Which reminded me a lot of my dog (that died a few months ago). She loved to sleep on or near you. If she wasn’t sleeping with her head on your lap, she was sleeping at your feet or below your chair.

thumbnail_IMG_20190920_191705_829I really enjoyed visiting this wee guy. I was so tempted to bring him home with me, but I think my brother’s children would have something to say about that and probably kick my butt for even suggesting it. Hope you enjoyed the cute pics. Oscar’s only 14-weeks old, so I’ll probably have more cute photos of him as he grows and be able to spread some more puppy cuteness across the blogosphere.

As always, Thanks for reading!

Gacha Life-ing That Character

IMG_0893

Me after drawing overload.

After creating a 17-page long chapter for a comic strip (Finding My Own Way), I’m pretty darn beat. Creating a comic takes a lot of work and is pretty time-consuming, so after a lengthy session of comic booking and drawing like a woman possessed, one really needs a way to cool down and relax. How do I relax, you ask? (Well, you probably don’t ask, but it’s a great way to smoothly flowing from one topic to another, so I’ll answer that question anyway)

I relax with some Gacha Life. If you don’t know what that is, Gacha Life is an app/game that allows you to create little characters, then play about with our creations. You can pose them, add in backgrounds and props and even add speech bubbles. Essentially, it’s just a cute little dress-up game, but being a professional eejit, I have found a new use for this game. I pick a random character or person and set myself the challenge of trying to make that character using Gacha Life. This can be a bit tricky at times, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun. Anyway, let me introduce you to my latest attempts.

Levi from Attack on Titan:
IMG_0853Sadly, the app didn’t have vertical maneuvering equipment, so poor Levi has to do without. He still looks pretty badass though, but Levi just wouldn’t be Levi without fighting a Titan or two, so I posed him with one.

IMG_0854

And for all the Levi Fans and even made one of him doing a spot of cleaning.

IMG_0855

L from Death Note:
IMG_0856Playing Gacha Life just wouldn’t be fun if I didn’t try to make my favourite anime character, L. In case you’ve forgot who he is, I’ve posed L like we last see him in the anime.

IMG_0857

Hmm… he looks a little lonely, so let’s add in a little Ryuk I made earlier to keep him company.

IMG_0858

Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist:
IMG_0860I’m pretty proud of how this one turned out. I tried to make an Alphonse and Alex to keep Edward company, but sadly Gacha Life just didn’t have the things needed to make those characters. (Lunime has an anime version of Gacha Life called Gacha Studio, so I might download it and try again with it. I will make a sparkling mini He-Man someday).

Grell from Black Butler:
IMG_0861Another of my favourite characters. I really love Grell, unfortunately though the game didn’t have a chainsaw I got equip Grell with, so I had to make do with a handsaw. Grell still looks pretty menacing with it though. But you know Grell does need a little Bassy to play with, so I made Sebastian too.

IMG_0885

Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street:
IMG_0886In case you’re not an anime fan, I also try to make non-anime characters like Freddy with the app. He may be a cute little chibi but I still wouldn’t want him appearing in my dreams.

Predator from Alien Vs Predator:
IMG_0888Okay, this one is a bit of the stretching, but it does sort of look like Predator.

Suga (Yoon-gi) from BTS:
IMG_0889

Lastly and cutest of all Yoongi, modelled on my favourite photo of him.

mp,550x550,matte,ffffff,t.3u3

This is my favourite photo

Since I’ll use any opportunity to add a little sweet Suga to a post, here one of Yoongi jamming.

IMG_0890

And one of him being the sleepy Yoongi we all love.

IMG_0891

Hope you enjoyed my Gacha Life characters; they were a hell of a lot of fun to make. There was a lot of failed attempts during the making of this post, including Goku, Colossal Titan, Alex Armstrong, Alphonse, Yuri from Yuri on ice, Dobby from Harry Potter and Edward Scissorhands. Sadly, Gacha Life just couldn’t capture the awesomeness of these characters, which is why I’ll be checking out Gacha Studio and try to bring you more amazing characters using it.

As always, Thanks for reading!

Flowers in The Garden (Attempting Art Outside)

Have you ever written a post then decided it was just too weird or too crappy to publish, so you deleted it? That’s pretty much been the case with this blog lately. Which probably seems a little strange considering some of the things I post on here. Anyway, it can be a very frustrating cycle to get stuck in. But so that my latest string of deleted posts isn’t a complete loss, I’m going to share the resulting masterpieces from my latest deleted post at the end of this one. I’m sure a lot of K-pop fans will find these masterpieces hilarious, so I’ll add them in at the end and hopefully they’ll brighten your day a little. If you don’t like K-pop, it might be best to ignore this add bonus and stick with the main post. It might be a little too weird.

Back to the main post!thumbnail_20190803_134950 A little while ago when it was still warm and sunny and not imitating a monsoon outside, I had the marvellous idea of doing art in the great outdoors. Due to a serious case of the lazys (I really didn’t want to drag paints, brushes and all that outside), I decided to try soft pastels in the vast wilderness that is the garden (yeah, I’m also too socially awkward to try art in the park). So how did this relaxing art session in the garden go?

thumbnail_20190802_183906.jpgWell, the sketching part went rather well and was pretty relaxing, despite being joined by a few bugs a couple of times. I managed to draw a few nice little flowers, so at least this part of this little venture was a success.

screenshot_20190826-092535.png

Just a little cheeky fly hanging out on my page.

The only thing was soft pastels probably weren’t the best idea. The chalky dust of the soft pastels mixed with the breeze made an absolute mess on the page and occasionally sent a rainbow coloured dust cloud floating through the garden. All those movies made doing art outside look so graceful and fulfilling. I on the other hand looked like a lost puppy, trying to use multicoloured smoke signals to communicate with an unseen entity at the bottom of the garden. Not the relaxing inspiring scene I envisioned before giving outdoor art a go. thumbnail_20190802_194941

So, would I recommend art outside? Probably not with soft pastels! Sketching is pretty easy as long as you can draw with the book on your lap, but using soft pastels outside is another story. I did manage to add a bit of life to my flower; however, it would have been much easier to do indoors and I would have done a much better job. Its probably best to keep the soft pastels for indoor use, unless you’re planning on doing pavement art (which I was so tempted to do). Next time I might try painting in the garden, if it ever stops raining and I recover from the lazy bug.thumbnail_20190803_134950

As always, Thanks for reading!

Bonus:
Okay time for a little K-pop related giggle to brighten your day, because a good old laugh can really make a stressful or tough day seem a little less miserable and help you reach the end of the day, without slamming your head on your desk or flinging your coffee cup at the dreadfully annoying guy at the office (which will most likely get you fired, probably best to hold off on the old coffee cup throwing). Anyway, the deleted post was about a discussion I had with my eldest niece that lead to the creation of these two wonderful masterpieces. We were very bored and it was raining cats and dogs outside, so we decided to give 2 pictures that were on my niece’s wall a makeover.thumbnail_20190807_165929thumbnail_20190807_165735

The fabulous green love-heart creation is Jungkook from BTS and the blue and gold is Dimash Kudaibergen, who isn’t a K-pop idol but is an extremely talented singer, so he deserved a makeover too. We might have ventured over into cringey fan territory a little with this, but for giggle value alone it was a rainy afternoon well spent. Hope they brought a smile to your face.

Stone Art

After spending the last week or so melting in the heat and splashing in the sea, I’m finally getting back to creating another post. The humidity here lately has been really bad (between 75-95%), creating that sticky lingering dead heat that makes doing anything take 10x the effort (also makes you sweat buckets which is kind of gross). So, to escape the horrid stuffiness of indoors that is not unlike being stuck in a tropical rainforest, I’ve been going to the beach a lot lately. While at the beach I decided to take a few rocks home with me and give them a lick of paint, so for old times’ sake I’m going to turn this little activity into a step by step for rock painting. So, without further delay, I give to you:

A Step by Step Guide to Rock Painting:

thumbnail_20190712_111422.jpgStep 1: Find some rocks/stones- Beach rocks tend to work well for painting because they absorb the paint well and it won’t rub off easily. Make sure you to give your rocks a good wash before painting them, because the salt water/dirt might cause the paint to go grainy (also hygiene and all that).

Step 2: Give your rocks a lick of white paint- This is a bit of an optional step and only really needs to be done on the side you’re going to paint. If you have pale rocks you could probably skip this step. I got my rocks from a beach that is known for its dark coloured rocks. So, I painted my rocks white because the colours would have been very dull and faint, if I haven’t. (Let the paint dry before moving on to step 4 or I’ll most likely create a horrible mess).thumbnail_20190712_115859.jpg

Step 3: Stare at your rocks and try to work out what you’re going to paint on them- A little tip here is to try to look at the rock’s shape or outline and think about what it looks like. If that fails think of the weirdest thing you can think of and paint it on the rock. If you’re still having trouble maybe try decorating your rocks.

Step 4: Paint your rocks- Rocks actually make a nice surface to paint on, so enjoy! For this I used acrylic paint because it has very vivid colour and is the easiest type of paint to work with (in my opinion).

thumbnail_20190712_205051.jpg

Don’t forget to make a mess as you paint!

Step 5: Step back and admire your work- Don’t forget to give yourself a good pat on the back and compliment a job well don’t.

Step 6: Create a little gallery for your rocks- A gallery just wouldn’t be complete without some labels.thumbnail_20190712_214201thumbnail_20190712_213941.jpg

thumbnail_20190713_100037thumbnail_20190713_100117Hope you enjoyed this post! I know part of the fun of painting rocks is to hide your painted stones somewhere in a public space for people to find, but I don’t think I’ll do that (might just decorate the windowsill with them). Anyway, I hope this post has inspired you to paint a few rocks yourself and…

As always, Thanks for reading!

I’m Back

thumbnail_85e9e794-0e59-4276-ad93-d33c3b7a4d60A while ago, I had to go on an unexpected unannounced hiatus. Nothing big or shocking happened, it was just that a lot of things creeped up on me at once and things got extremely busy, so I didn’t have much time to blog. Thankfully things have calmed down a little now and I’m back. It feels so good to be blogging again, it felt like I lost a limb while on hiatus. Not creating blog posts or not having time to read others’ blogs, was so incredibly dull. It really is great to be blogging again.

So, what did I get up to while in hiding?

Well, I’ve got a little bit of news to share with you all. The Collab comic strip project I was doing with Anjani, is being posted over on MangaToon. So, I’ve been spending a lot of my art/drawing time working on it (which is so much fun). I really love making comics, even though my drawing skills still need a lot of improvement. Drawing really exaggerated faces is a hell of a lot of fun and can be very amusing at times. (If you have the MangaToon app and/or would like to check the comic out, it’s called Finding my own way.)

As well as the comic, I’ve been practicing more traditional art (and doodling a lot). I’ll include a few of the better things I’ve created to give you an idea of what I’ve been up to. Lately the doodling habit has reached a new level, I pretty much doodle on any piece of paper I get my hands on, which lead this creation.

thumbnail_img_20190502_170206_076.jpgIt started off as just a little doodle on the page, but I went doodle mad and got a little carried away. Before realising it, the page was completely covered in doodles. But in saying that, I like this big doodle.

I’ve also been messing experimenting with paint and trying out different techniques, so have created quite a few experimental and abstract pieces. I’ll show you a few examples of these pieces because there’s too many to put in one post.

thumbnail_20190408_211458

I gave him K-pop hair (those drops are red paint, in case you were getting scared)

thumbnail_20190413_164558

Abstract is actually kind of hard

Lastly soft pastels, I’ve finally worked out how to use them without nearly dying from breathing in the dust. So, I’ve been working hard to try to master soft pastels and after quite a few fails, eventually created something worth sharing.

thumbnail_20190425_181720So that us all caught up art wise, hope you enjoyed this little art update. I have a movie related post planned so hopefully that will be up soon too.

Glad to be back and as always thanks for reading!

The Silly Things That Life Just Wouldn’t Be the Same Without.

50486044-7085-416c-b7fc-3e836ad03ae3Another year has passed and I must again add 1 to my age and try to remember it. That’s right, it was my Birthday this month and to be honest I’m feeling rather old. I’m getting a little too close to 30, for my liking. But on the bright side, at least my hair hasn’t turned grey (Glob, has it had so many reasons to turn grey).

Last year I did a special bucket list post and I kind of wanted to keep the special B-day post thing going. So, I wrecked my brain for ideas and thought to myself, “what could I possibly write about. I can’t do a what I’ve learnt in over a quarter of a century post or an advice post. I’m still trying to work this world out.” Then something occurred to me.  Apart from things like family, having a roof over me head and food in my belly, it’s really the silly little things in life, that keeps me happy. Screw bags loads of money and a big house, if someone came and took away the silly little things, living would quickly become very miserable.

So, on that point I thought it would nice to share with you guys the silly things, that make me happy and that life wouldn’t be the same without.

1. The first cup of coffee of the day- Glob, words cannot express the incredible feeling of the first cup of coffee of the day. Maybe it’s just because I’m addicted to caffeine but fudge it’s a great feeling. It just makes facing the world seem that little less daunting and cures my serious case of morning grumpys and wanting the world to bugger off.

thumbnail_6c8fc79a-d866-4876-812d-29afa60b4a3d_1

One of my very early attempts of drawing a dog, digitally. I thought it would be cute to share it.

2. Dogs- I’m just going to say it; the world would be sh*te without dogs. They’re just these little happy creatures, that have this magical ability to instantly cheer people up. They don’t even have to try at it. By just being a dog and doing doggy things, they lift people’s mood and make them feel happy. Not to mention dog cuddles are the best.

3. Messing with paint- There’s just nothing more relaxing than messing and spreading paint around a page. I might not create anything I’d be willing to share on this blog or with anyone else, but the feeling of peace and contentment I get from it, is enough for me.

4. Anime- I’ve often thought of creating a post about why I love anime, but never got around to it. Anyway, the reason it’s made it onto my list is that without anime, I’d be an incredibly lost little soul. I know it’s silly (it’s made it onto a silly things list, so of course it’s silly), but anime is one of the very few things that can distract my catastrophizing brain and allow me to relax. When watching anime, I genuinely feel happy. I’d fall into the bottomless pit of misery without it.

5. Beautiful Anime Men and the Fan Art- Hmmm…. Yeah, the less said about this, the better. The personalities, the fan art, the otome games, the eye-candy, it’s all pretty amazing. I could possibly be that sort of anime fan but screw it, I’m only human.

9e9b520f-0e88-48e9-acf6-3daf91abd574

Nothing creepy going on here. Just an artist getting some well need practice in “anatomy” and a 27-year-old anime man, named Barnard putting his clothes on, to get ready for work.

6. Chocolate- In all seriousness, I don’t think I could cope without chocolate. It’s my little mood booster and without it, I probably would have died of sadness by now.

7. The armchair in front of the fire- It’s my safe zone. When I’m sitting in my armchair like a king, the world could go get sucked into a black-hole, for all I care. The fact it’s right next to the fire, just makes it all the sweeter.

8. Wandering Aimlessly Around the Woods- Spending a few hours (or a good part of the day), just walking in the silence of the woods, with only the odd sound of wildlife. With a dog or two for company/safety, not really caring where you’ll walking, too, is pretty darn relaxing and peaceful. Nothing clears your head like it.

9. Weird Stuff- Can’t get enough of the weird stuff. It’s just so fascinating. Weird animals, weird anime, movies, books, psychology and unusual people (the best type of people, in my opinion). There’s just so much that can be learnt from it. The world would be so very dull without weird stuff.fa28967c-967f-45ef-b9dc-9c0149c6dede10. Going for drives in the car- Okay, I’m beginning to see why my friend says, I’m like a wee lovable Likes going for walks, sitting by the fire, going in the car, likes having my hair pet (but pretends not too) and is easily excited. Yeah, that sounds like I’m a puppy alright. But hey at least I’m a lovable one. Besides I do all my best singing to the radio, in the car.

Thanks for reading the 10 silly things that life just wouldn’t be the same without. Hope you’ve enjoyed it and if you have any silly things that life wouldn’t be the same without, feel free to share them in the comments below.

I’m off now, to play frisbee and chase a cat.

Ask Me Anything (The Answers)

thumbnail_34646afd-7f9c-4166-aa5e-0252c217718cAs promised in my last post, I have created a special little Q&A post, to say thanks to everyone that reads my blog and to celebrate a year of blogging.

This is the most excited, I’ve ever been about a post and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting to over 5 questions. So, getting over double that, was just incredible and I would like to say Thank you, to everyone who provided questions. All your questions were awesome and I really appreciate, you all taking part in this post. I’ve linked them all, in this post and would highly recommend checking their blogs out (They are all just so amazing).

So, without further ado, I give you Ask Me Anything:

raistlin0903
1.What got you into drawing?
It’s hard to put my finger on what exactly got me into drawing, but strangely I think it was stress. I started doodling on my notebooks, as a way to relieve stress and it kind of got addictive. I moved on from doodle in notebooks, to drawing animals covered in decorative designs in a sketchbook and it all snowballed from there.

10c71218-db45-4c38-a61c-feb3e79a18b4

To add a little nostalgia to this post, I’ve used some of the drawings I’ve created and photos I’ve taken, in the past year.

2.What is something you would one day like to do with your blog but haven’t gotten around to yet?
A giant art collaboration. This is some very wishful thinking, but I’d love to rally a load of bloggers together, and create one hell of a digital art post.

Irina
3.Is there a post/piece you really like but that didn’t get many views?
Zombie 101. It didn’t get too many views, but creating that jokey little post, about how to survive a zombie apocalypse was a lot of fun.e94272cc-b7a3-426d-abd7-45a767129f2f

4.What is the weirdest/funniest/best search term to lead to your site?
The weirdest search term was “lucy.boo pic”. Haven’t got the slightest notion what this even means. All I know is someone was looking pictures of a Lucy.boo, which sounds like it might be something creepy and perverted.
The funniest term has to be “MAN BOOBS”. In capital letters and all. Someone must have really wanted to see some man boob, that day. Too bad my blog doesn’t have any man boobies. They must have been so disappointed.
The best search term (as in the most popular) is funny Irish insults. It comes up surprisingly often.

amicyberspace
5.Do you believe in something that most people would say isn’t real? (like Santa, or dragons)
Without sounding crazy, I believe in aliens, other dimensions and sea monsters.
The universe is just too big, for there not to be another planet supporting life (doubt they fly around in space, kidnapping humans or even have the technology to do so).
Also, there is some very messed up looking creatures in the sea, so there’s bound to be a few that we could class as sea monsters.suun

6.If you could change how your blood looked, how would you make it look?
Bleeding rainbows, would be a lot more pleasant, so I’d make my blood rainbow coloured. Also, it be awesome if it glowed in the dark, too. It would be so much easier to tell, if I teared my ear cartilage piercings or got a nose bleed, when its dark.

Rodrovich
7.Do you have any plans to use your drawing skills for any other media-like comics or animation?
As a bit of fun, I was thinking about creating a comic strip for this blog. But, I have no real big or brilliant plans, to enter into the comic book industry. I really like illustrating, though and would love to be able to do something with that someday.thumbnail_IMG-20171111-WA0002

8.What’s your favorite fruit?
Pineapple, when its slightly on the bitter side. It’s just so juicy and delicious.
But from experience, it’s not a good idea to try to eat a whole bitter pineapple, at once (even if you are a hungry, hungry student and too tired/broke to cook dinner). It makes your tongue and lips go numb, for hours after.

Jenn
9.What’s your favorite thing to draw?
When Digital drawing, it’s those little stumpy chubby big-head characters. They’re so cute and really fun to draw, especially when turning movie monsters into one of these characters.
On paper, it would be pencil drawings. There’s just something really peaceful about making a pencil drawing.use

10.Do you have any advice for other people who are too scared to share their drawings?
If you’re extremely scared, try taking baby steps. Start with sharing your drawings with trusted friends and build your confidence from there.
If you’re feeling brave enough to share your drawings with the world. My advice would be, to try to find somewhere with supportive people, to share your drawings. In general, they’ll only make helpful comment on your work and not rip into it.
Also, remember to not be too critical of your own work (which can be really hard, at times) and to have fun.

TPAB~
11.Are you open for a Netflix Death Note 2?
Hell no! Sequels are usually worse than the first movie, so I fear to think about the monstrosity that would be Netflix Death Note 2.
In saying that, I did give the first Netflix Death Note, a fair review and reviewed it as something separate from the anime and manga. But as a fan of the anime, that movie was kind of painful to watch. There was just so much wrong with that movie and I doubt a sequel would be any different.thumbnail_20171020_134516

12.Are you willing to carve melons for halloween this year?
Bahahaha…. that ghost pumpkin really did look like a melon.
Well, it is melon season soon and carving a melon would be fun, so I’d be willing. You might not even have to wait until Halloween. I might not be able to contain me melon carving excitement until then.

So, this is the end of our Q & A session. I hope you have enjoyed this post. It has been incredibly fun to make and as always Thanks for reading.

Woohoo! We Are One

thumbnail_16c87587-abbb-4ec9-8ec7-c9a6767a629cAs you’ve probably guessed, I’ve found away around my little digital drawing situation (a busted wrist won’t stop me from drawing hehe) and can now illustrate posts as normal. Just in time too, because this month is the first blog-versary of this quirky little blog. When I first started this blog, I didn’t know if it would reach its first blog-versary, but it did and it’s been so great.

Why has it been great, you ask? Well, it’s really all down to you guys, of course. The community here on WordPress is so amazing. Everyone is just so supportive and kind (no one has ever been mean, about my super sh** drawing skills). We really do have something special here on WordPress. So, for this reason, I’d like to take the time to thank you all. Without you guys, I probably wouldn’t have stuck around this long.

thumbnail_5ae43eb8-748a-405b-85a9-9cd4e4d77922

Got you all a little flower, to say Thanks

To make this month a little bit special, I thought it would be nice to create a few posts marking the occasion. Starting with something, I’ve always been a little too afraid to do. An Ask Me Anything post, which will be a Q&A type post, where you guys get to ask me basically anything.

For this I’m going to need a little help from you guys, in the form of some Questions. So, if you could leave a question or 2 in the comments below, that would be awesome and I would very much appreciate it.

This post will be for you guys as a little thank you for supporting my blog. So, no question is too random or too weird. I’m pretty much leaving myself at your mercy and if I get enough questions, I’ll create this very special Q&A post, for all of you guys.

Thanks again for all of your support and I’m looking forward to your questions.

Happy New Year

thumbnail_ef02ff5a-5004-4521-90a7-c9b84fb6a6c9I would like to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year and all the best in the year ahead.

By now you’re all probably feeling a little bloated and chubby, from all that food eaten over the festive period (I know I am, at least).

So, to start the New Year well. I’ve drawn you all, a little chubby chibi (mini cartoon character) to accompany the New Year’s greeting. Hopefully it’s cuteness will bring a smile to your face and make you forget all about those festive calories.

Thanks for reading and may 2018 treat you well.

The Unique Blogger Award

unique-blogger-awardI think I may have finally caught up with my blog nominations. I feel bad for taking so long, but it truly couldn’t be helped and I apologise.

I was very touched to be nominated for the unique blogger award. I always try hard to be original and come up with post ideas, that I’ve never seen done before. I thought it was really sweet and kind, that two fellow bloggers would nominate me for this award. So, for that I’d like to thank them individually and of course answer their brilliant questions.

The Rules:

1: Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nomination you.

2: Answer the Questions.

3: In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.

4: Ask them three questions.

Rodrovich, thanks so much for thinking of me and giving me nomination. I really appreciate it. Your blog is awesome and I would highly recommend everyone go check it out.

Right, time to answer Rodrovich questions.

1- Which place would you most like to visit and why?

I’d love to visit North Canada, because I really want to see the northern lights. They look so magical in photos and it would be amazing to see in person.
Canada also seems really beautiful, so I’d love to explore it, for myself.

thumbnail_38536b92-2b96-405b-babb-1042774c68e62- How would you explain anime to one who has never seen any before?

With great pain (only joking, I’ll be serious).
I think the only way to explain anime, would be to sit the person down and show them some anime. Anime is too complex, to be explained in mere words.
But if I had to explain it in words, I’d probably start of by saying, anime is a very beautiful and unique style of animation, that can be a lot of fun. It can also be a very emotional experience. Having you laughing one minute and crying your little heart out, the next. (I wouldn’t mention Japan, to prevent bias).
I would then use one of my rubbish examples, to explain the feeling of watching good quality anime. That example being, “Watching a good anime is like, being given a box of super cute puppies. You’ll be super excited and just want to play with the puppies all day and never leave them.”

3- What are some of your favorite (or influential) albums?

Oh Glob, all my music is stored on electronic devices, so I don’t have a clue what you call my favourite albums. I just tap a picture and scroll down the playlist, until I see something I like.
I know, that’s so bad and doesn’t answer the question. So, instead I’ll give you a short list of my favourite artists and hopefully, it’ll give a feel of the music I’m into:
Sia, Hozier, Pink, Guns N’ Roses, Meat Loaf, Queen (those last three are really old, but have aged very well), My Chemical Romance, Twenty One Pilots, Adele and a little bit of Johnny Cash.

Irina thanks so much for the nomination. Your blog is so much fun and I love your drinking games. I would also highly recommend everyone go check Irina’s blog out.

Right, question time.

1-I had a lot of fun with the FMK question (you can tell from all the whining). I use to adore this feature over on D talks anime. Which is your favorite blog feature/tag? Alternatively, tell us about one you’d like to start!

My favourite was the Five Flaming Hotties Tag. It was so much fun and I had a whale of a time, reading all of those.
But, what I liked most about that tag, was how everyone really got into it and nearly everyone participated. It was amazing and everyone work so hard on those post. Which just goes to show, how much fun that tag really was.

thumbnail_4e3f056a-d974-4e5a-8c41-22257dd7b9882- What do you want for Christmas? I’m just asking for a friend.

My weight in chocolate would be nice.
I’m a little fatty at Christmas and pretty much, spend the whole Christmas period thinking about food. Receiving my weight in chocolate would be a dream come true. I don’t really have a preference for the type of chocolate. Just as long as it isn’t Thornton’s (hate that chocolates. It just doesn’t taste right).
Don’t worry, if I do somehow receive my weight in chocolate, I’d share my chocolatey wealth.

3- What unusual IP would you like to see get adapted into anime?

The last question has really got me in the Christmas mood and now I really want to A Christmas Carol, adapted into an anime movie (if this already exist, please let me know. That would be so awesome).
This may be the Christmas spirit talking, but A Ghibli Christmas Carol just sounds spectacular. It would be so interesting, to see an anime version of Scrooge. I’d imagine they’d portray him, as a Howl (from Howl’s moving castle) type character and really exaggerate his meanness. The three spirits, would probably also get one hell of a makeover and look like the regular spirits on acid.
An Anime Christmas Carol would be amazing and because it’s anime, it could be made so much more magical and creative. I’d just love to see what an anime studio, would with this Christmas classic. They’d definitely give the muppets a run for their money anyway.
